Donated by Mary Virginia Egleton (nee Durham)
This shop was located on Main Street, south of the Main Stop on the east side of the street (small white building still standing). It was owned by Francis Durham (shown on the left). Because she was the oldest his daughter Mary (Egelton) (shown on the right) also helped out in the store. The store sold candy and cigars. In the back was the barber shop. If you look real close in the back you can also see a small lending library and a place for folks to sit to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee.
