Mrs. Butler Dies Today At Age 92
Havana (C) -- Mrs. Sophronia Butler, 92, of 117 N. Broadway, Havana, died at 12:40 a.m. today, Jan. 9, 1974, in Mason District Hospital. She was last hospitalized on Monday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Hurley Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Snicarte cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday.

Memorials may be made to the Hopewell Baptist church, Snicarte, of which she was a member.

She was born at Snicarte Aug. 18, 1881, a daughter of James and Mary Ellen Butler Sarff. She married Jerome Butler at Snicarte Nov. 12, 1899. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1954.

Surviving are a son, Loyal Butler of Havana; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Holste, Mrs. Bernice Ingram, and Mrs. Mary Ellen Workman, all of Havana; and a sister, Mrs. Esther Ingram of Pecatonica, Ill. Three brothers and four sisters are deceased.
