PEORIA - May I. DeWitt, 87, formerly of Havana and Peoria, died at 5:42 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 1994, at Prairie View Care Center in Lewistown, where she had been a resident.

Born Jan. 22, 1907, in Waverly to Harry and Etta Ritter Luttrell, she married Russell M. DeWitt on July 28, 1925, in Springfield. He died Aug. 19, 1986. Two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Maxine) McVeitty of Havana; one son, Russell Allan of Cloverport, Ky.; two brothers, Elbert Luttrell of Jacksonville and Harold Luttrell of Mountain Home, Ark.; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cody & Son Memorial Home in Jacksonville, where visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Diamond Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
