Eileen Dolly Lippert Sarff Eshelman Peoria Journal Star, January 2, 2006, Page: B4 HAVANA - Eileen Dolly Lippert Eshelman, 86, formerly of Havana, Ill., died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at the Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana, Ill. She was born Feb. 11, 1919, on the family farm near Snicarte, Lynchburg Twp., Mason County, to Ezekial Earky and Lela Friend Lippert. She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Clark (husband Paul) Garrett of Villa Grove, Ill.; three sisters, Eloise Lippert Toland of Germantown Hills, Ill., Estalee Lippert Maddox of Anthony, N.M., and Marsha Bailey Roberts of Cortez, Colo.; one grandson, Sean Sarff of East Peoria, Ill.; two granddaughters, Alice Burlew (Tim) Hauser of Sullivan, Ill., and Katherine (Matt) Burlew of Villa Grove, Ill.; one stepgrandson and one stepgranddaughter; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her son, Stanley "Clark" Sarff, and two brothers, Aaron Lippert and Melvin Bailey. She formerly attended the Hopewell Baptist Church in Snicarte, worked at Hiram Walker & Sons in Peoria during WWII and later at Bonnett's Turkey Plant in Havana, as well as working as a sales clerk at Hornsby's. She enjoyed travel, western books and movies and spending time with family and friends. She had many kitties during her life, including Tom Meowzers I, II and III, Sonny Boy and Fluffy. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana conducted by Rev. Mike Hopps. Burial will be in the Snicarte Cemetery in rural Bath, Ill. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (from noon until 1 p.m.) at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mason County No Pets Left Behind.
