Nathan A. Fletcher

Nathan A. Fletcher, 61, well known farmer of the Bath community, passed away Thursday, April 28, at the Mason District hospital in Havana at 10 a.m., after a long illness.

He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Fletcher and was born in Lynchburg Township in Mason County.

He was a coal dock worker in Havana for the C & IM railroad.

He was married to Zelma Taylor who survives along with one son, Gilbert of Bath; one daughter, Mrs. Janet Lane of Lockport; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Murphy, Bath, Mrs. Elsie Banks, Bath, Mrs. John Clayse of Beardstown, and Mrs. Eula Cowan of Springfield; three brothers, Lester, Lloyd, and Tim all of Bath.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the Snicarte Baptist church with Rev. Dean Benton of Bluff Springs, officiating.

George McDonald of Virginia was soloist accompanied at the piano by Edna Cawood.

Burial was in Snicarte cemetery. Pallbears were employees of the C & IM railroad company coal docks of Havana, where the deceased had worked.
