William P. Fletcher

William Percy Fletcher was born near Bath, Illinois, December 11, 1873 and died May 7, 1959 at the age of 85 years.

He is survived by a son, Guy Fletcher of Bath; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Butler of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Mrs. Gladys Hinds of Sunnyside, Washington; one sister, Mrs. John A. Sarff of Chandlerville; one half-sister, Mrs. Marie Miller of Iowa City, Iowa; eight grandchildren and 13 great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1941. A son, Gus died in infancy and another son Ewell, died in 1958.

Mr. Fletcher was a well known fur and pearl buyer over a long period of years. He also owned and operated a duck hunting lodge and farm in Mason County.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 9 at 2 p.m. at the Lintner Funeral home with Rev. Wm. Roy officiating.

Floral tributes were arranged by the wives of the pallbearers. Pallbearers were Lester, Norman, Howard, Tom, Roy and James Fletcher.

Interment was in Snicarte cemetery.
