Mrs. Fordyce Dies Saturday; Rites Today Dr. J. Dewey Muir, minister of First Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery. William Waldmeier was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Nelda Waltmire as organist. Serving as pallbearers were George J. Bell, Edward L., Floyd E., John R. and Charles L. Watkins, and Don W. Fordyce. Mrs. Fordyce died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday in Pekin hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks. She had been in failing health for three years prior to her death. Born in Mason County Jan. 12, 1874, she was a daughter of Henry and Margaret Kinney Durett. She was married to Eli Bell, who preceded her in death. She later married to Charles E. Fordyce on June 16, 1906 at Mt. Sterling. Mrs. Fordyce was a member of Grace Methodist Church and the Home Class at the Pekin Union Mission. She had lived in Pekin for the past 47 years. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Watkins of Glasford, two sons, Harry Bell of Pekin and George Bell of Petersburg, a sister, Lizzie Durett; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers and a sister. Contributed by Carole Martin
