Elias Hull Jr. Newspaper unknown The death of Mr. Elias Hull of this city (Mason City) occurred Wednesday evening, Sept. 27, 1911. He was sitting in a large rocking chair reading to his wife when Mrs. Hull noticed him stop reading and noticed that his head had dropped forward on his breast. Mrs. Hull tried to rouse her husband thinking that he had fallen asleep, then she summoned medical aid and the neighbors, but he did not regain consciousness and died peacefully in just a few minutes, from heart disease. Mr. Hull had always been a vigorous man and his sudden passing was a severe shock to the family and the entire community. Funeral services were held at the Mr. Pleasant church, Saturday, Sept.30, 1911, at 1:30 p. m., conducted by Elder F. E. Welton and Elder J. M. Haughey. The six sons acted as pall bearers. Mr. P. A. Enlows and Mrs. Anna Deitrich furnished the music. Interment was made in the Big Grove cemetery. Transcribed by:Pam Ross
