MASON CITY - Kenneth E. Jones, 67, of 609 E. Walnut St. died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at his residence.

Born April 15, 1931, in Mason County to Ira and Maude Brockman Jones, he married Linda Gordon on July 2, 1968, in Petersburg. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kenneth Jr. of Mason City; two daughters, Teresa Bitner of Mason City and Pamela Johnson of Greenview; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul of Pekin and Jack and John, both of Mason City; and three sisters, Mary Nehmelman and Virginia Hovey, both of Mason City, and Ruth Rohlfs of Hartsburg.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

He was a laborer at Corn Products in Pekin, which is now Pekin Energy.

A Korean War Army veteran, he was a member of the Havana Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ray Bell will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery. Styninger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
