Mary Ann Marfoot was born in Mason county, Ill., July 6, 1844, and passed away in Fayette, Saturday, October 22, 1921, aged 77 years. In 1866 she was married to Benhamin F. Swartz in Illinois. To this union two sons, Charlie and William, were born. Funeral services were held in Fayette at the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon, October 24, the Fruitland M.E. pastor, the Rev. George Todd, officiating, assisted by the Fayette pastor, the Rev. Clyde Walker. The body was laid to rest in Riverside cemetery, Fayette.
