Otho "Bud" Nance, 78, of 1026 S. Shelley died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, May 10, 1993, at his home.

Born Sept. 12, 1914, in Easton to Otis and Elsie Haynes Nance, he married Florene Toland on July 21, 1939, in Havana. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Raines of Bellevue and Georgia Baker of Lynchburg, Va.; one sister, Dorothy Bubert of Havana; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death.

He worked at Hiram Walker & Sons for 40 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Maxwell Road Church of God in Bartonville, where services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Keith Simmons will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Davison-Fulton Western Chapel in Peoria, and one half-hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
