A note from Sandie:
This IL Civil War Census for McHenry County was taken in Aug of 1862, followed
by a Militia Roll which was taken in 1863. I have transcribed it exactly as viewed on the microfilm. I used (?)
where I was unable to decipher the print. However this was seldom as most of the print was legible. I was able
to view the microfilm for this census on inter-library loan from the IL State Library.
