I was born July 12, 1910 south of Gridley on the Gramm Farm. I was the oldest of 11 children. I married and moved to town in 1938. I owned and operated Texaco gas station with my brother Art. We had a Firestone Tire dealership and operated Rinkenberger Brothers Trucking as well as the Restaurant. We had four daughters.
