Mystery Photos
McLean County, Illinois

Despite the rigors of standing perfectly still for long minutes, having a photo taken became an important event in many of our ancestor's lives. Whether it was a group photo, a new baby or one taken of them in front of their home, it indeligably marked that moment in time and became a family keepsake.

Unfortunately, (like many today) they neglected to mark these photos, not thinking of future generations who might have no clue as to who these people were.

Fortunately, (like many today) they shared copies of these photos with friends and relatives and often someone, somewhere, marked the photo.

Thus, we hope that the photos on here, can be identified and bring one more layer to learning about the lives of our ancestors.

If you recognize any of these photos, please let me know by emailing me.

If you have any "mystery" photos you would like to have posted, email me for instructions.
