Brink & Co., of Illinois Page 38 WILLIAM PRIMM the eldest of a family of ten children, of whom Thomas and Elizabeth Primm are the parents, was born January 11, 1808, in St. Clair County, Illinois. He remained here until the thirteenth year of his age, when he came to Section 6, Township 17-6, the locality where he now resides. He was married May 12, 1829, in Sangamon County, Illinois, to Miss Maria Canterbury, born in Kentucky, October 12, 1812. Her father was a native of Virginia, but died in this State, October 16, 1856, in the sixty-ninth year of his age. Thomas Primm died the same year.
The children of William and Maria Primm were seven in number, and were born in the following order: In Politics Mr. Primm is a Democrat, and a member of the religious denomination known as the "Christian Church." His life has been one of quiet industrious usefulness. He is an excellent farmer, and has acquired a competency of this world's goods. He will transmit to his children the priceless inheritance of a good name, which "is better than great riches."
