Anderson genealogy
I am searching for A Lucinda Anderson or could be Lucinda Upchurch. Birthdate I have
is 7/27/1821. Supposedly in Bledsoe Tenn. She married my great grandfather, William Nelson Crawford and moved to
Texas in about 1846 or 7. I do not know if Anderson or Upchurch was her maiden name. They are listed together and
one could be from a previous marriage.
Any help would sure be appreciated.

Jonathan H Crawford
I am searching for the birthplace of my great great grandfather, Jonathan H Crawford.
I have been told that is middle initial stood for Houston. He married a Mary Polly Oxshier in Bledsoe county, Tenn
somewhere around 1816. They had 8 children from 1817 to 1832. The year of his birth is given as 1790 but do not
have a day or month. An 1880 Texas census lists one of his sons ( William Nelson Crawford ) who is my great grandfather.
William says on the census that his father was born in Virginia and yet I have seen other genealogies that list
him from Georgia or one of the Carolina's. His wife Mary Polly Oxshier is buried in the Tenn. Community cemetery
in Shelby county, Texas. I do not know whether Jonathan ever made it there or not. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James K Crawford

Anderson/Paul families
We can't seem to find parents for Thomas D. Anderson and Margaret A. Paul who were
married in Irving, Montgomery County, on June 23 (possibly June 27) 1864. We have found the application for, and
the license for their marriage. However, we cannot find any records of either of them before said marriage. Thomas
D. was born in Tennessee and migrated to Illinois with his Mother when he was a young child. This is mentioned
in his obituary and it does not mention any siblings. Family legend says there was a sister, Luvenia, and a brother,
Milton. Margaret's Mother was Maggie, possibly also Margaret, who married for the second time to one Otis Walters,
on 2 Mar 1857 in Hamilton County, Ohio. We have literally hit a BRICK WALL. Can anyone help with these families?

William Satterlee
I am trying to find information on my Gr. Gr. Grandfather, William R. Satterlee (photo
attached), and have hit “the wall.” Is William the son of Asa Satterlee? Next steps may be to find newspaper archives
(obits, birth and marrage announcements, etc.) and county records (birth and death certificates). Where can I go?
Here is what I know:
1. William was born 1837 in Montgomery County (I believe). He is listed in
the 1840 Census possibly as an infant under Asa. If so, brothers would be Miles and Simeon. Asa was fairly old
by 1840 Census and not listed in the 1850 Census. At approximately age 13, William is listed under no family head
in the 1850 Census. In the 1860 Census William is listed as married (wife Agnes) and baby daughter.
2. William married Agnes Irvin(g) in August 29, 1858. They had a daughter, Clara Anna Elizabeth, born June 26,
1859.
3. William joined the 126th Illinois Infantry on 8/4/1862, was mustered in on 9/4/1862, left in a hospital in Jackson,
Tenn. on 5/16/1863, and died 7/13/1863 in St. Lous. 4. William is buried in Hopewell Cemetery in Montgomery County,
Ill.
William's widow, Agnes Irvin(g) Satterle, remarried three times, to a Welch, Tanner
and finally Privett. She is buried in Dripping Springs Cemetery near West Plains, Missouri. Contact: Brian Schoenthale

FINKEY-FINKE
I am searching on my mother's side for a relative that she knew went by
the last name of FINKEY-FINKE. Old photos I have of this family have written "FINKEY" on back, however
it was written in my mother's handwriting. My G aunt Mae GOSSAGE first married a RALPH FINKEY and their children
were : Ruby P. born abt: 1906 ArchieG. born abt: 1910 Kenneth L. born abt: 1912 In a 1930 Montgomery co census
of South Litchfield I ran across this family with May I. White as head of household. This tells me she had remarried
and was divorced again or widowed.(my mother said she remarried to a White) The last name of her children is what
baffles me, it is not FINKEY-FINKE, but says FINKEBINDER on the census. An Illinois death search came up with a
KENNETH FINKENBINDER, not FINKEBINDER, that died in Litchfield on 6-29-1947. I am confused here and am looking
for anyone who may have known of this family and the correct spelling of their last name. Mae Gossage Finkey-Finke-Finkenbinder
and her two sons Archie and Kenneth owned a barbershop in litchfield , Ruby her daughter married a HAMILTON, had
no children and appears to have passed away in Litchfield in 1946. Please help! Donna Yavorshak
