STATE OF ILLINOIS, Morgan County, COUNTY COURT
IN THE MATTER OF Estate of Samuel B. Jones decd
TO THE COUNTY COURT OF SAID COUNTY.
The petition of HENRY S. RIGGS Respectfully showeth that Samuel B. Jones departed this life at his residence in said County on or about the 24th day of February last ?? intestate
That said deceased died possessed of certain personal property in the State of Illinois, the value whereof does not exceed the sum of about Six hundred dollars, as your petitioner has been informed and believes, that said deceased has left him surviving his widow Elizabeth Jones and six children to wit Daniel R. Jones, Wilmoth Langston wife of Larkin B. Langston, Lewis W. Jones, Alexander Jones, Thomas J. Jones, James Y. Jones all of age, one grand daughter, the daughter of Joel Jones deceased named Wilmoth Catherine Potter also of age and who has intermarried with Jeremiah J. Potter.... Your petitioner therefore prays that you will grant letters of administration to him upon the estate of the said Samuel B. Jones, his widow having relinquished her right to administer in the ??es to your petitioner as will appear by her relinquishment herewith filed.
