Untied States Marshall J. W. Arnold today opened the October term of the United States Court for the Peoria District, but on account of Judge Grosscup's illness and adjournment was taken to Nov. 6.

An individual called at Mr. Martin’s harness-shop, in Peoria, a few days since, and left a basket for Mrs. M., and then immediately disappeared.
