Obituary of William B. Kimzey

Wm. B. Kimzey

William B. Kimzey died Sept. 5 at his home in Four Mile, Perry county, of cancer at the
age of 74 years. He was born on the old Kimzey farm Aug. 12, 1838, and resided there all
his life. During the Civil War he enlisted May 28, 1861, in Company A, 18th Ill. Inf., and
was honorably discharged at the close of the war. March 16, 1865, he married Miss
Elizabeth Rule. Of the nine children five remain with their mother: Mrs. J.F. Keene of
Cutler, Mrs. James Wilson of Nashville, Mrs. F.P. Anderson and Misses Lina and Grace
Kimzey of Perry county.

Funeral services were held at the Galum Presbyterian church Friday morning at 11
o'clock, the services being conducted by Revs. Maxton, Hughey and Watts, after which
the remains were laid to rest in the Galum cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Anderson of here attended the
funeral.
