Charles H. Siefert, 69, Died Friday in Belleville Hospital
      Charles H. Siefert, 69, Rt. 1, Du Quoin, died at 5:10 p.m. Friday in Belleville Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient the past three weeks.
      Born Oct. 6, 1901, in Jackson County, he was the son of George and Maggie (Harris) Siefert, both deceased. He was married to Myrtle Beard in Du Quoin on Nov. 27, 1922. He was a member of the Egyptian Coin Club.
      He is survived by his widow, Myrtle; five daughters, Audrey Taylor, Ilene Tregoning and Janet Nevill, Du Quoin, and Betty Dolce and Maggie Mileur, Murphysboro; five sons, Charles N., Vern A. and Donald E. Siefert, Du Quoin, Glenn R. Siefert, Cuba, and Herschel W. Siefert, Columbia; one brother, George C. Siefert, Williamsport, Ind.; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One brother, two sons and one daughter are deceased.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from Maxton Funeral Home with Rev. Judson Souers officiating. Burial will be in Old Du Quoin Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Sunday.

Eva G. Siefert
      Eva G. Siefert, 78, of Route 2, Du Quoin, died at 4:50 a.m. today, Nov. 10, 1982, in Marshall-Browning Hospital, Du Quoin. She was assiciated with Siefert Brothers Trucking Company of Du Quoin and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and a trustee. She was also a member of the Du Quoin Women's Club, the Monday Club, the Study Club and Modern Woodmen of America
      She was born Nov. 9, 1904, in Liberty in Saline County to Charles and Ethel Imgram Potts. She married Joe J. Siefert on May 19, 1926, in Belleville.
      Mrs. Siefert is survived by her husband; one son, Joe A. of Du Quoin; one sister, Lillian Hargraves of West Frankfort; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Burial will be in Old Du Quoin Cemetery.
      Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Miss Florence Siefert, Native of Du Quoin Area, Dies in Salem
      Miss Florence Siefert, a native of the Du Quoin community, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Val Pflanz, in Salem Wednesday, December 16, her 79th birthday anniversary
      Funeral services will be held at Old Du Quoin Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with burial in Old Du Quoin cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 12 noon that day until time of services.
      Miss Siefert was born in Old Du Quoin on December 16, 1880, and had resided in that community and Salem her entire lifetime.
      Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Pflanz; two brothers, A. B. Siefert of Minden, Louisiana, and George Siefert, Old Du Quoin; three nephews, Charlie Siefert, Old Du Quoin, Charles H. Siefert, Du Quoin, Clifton Siefert, Williamsport, Indiana; and one niece, Mrs. C. R. Knox, Salem.

Margaret Elizabeth SIEFERT

Wife of Chas. Siefert Passes Away Monday
      Margaret Elizabeth Siefert, wife of Charles Siefert, well known and highly respected Old Du Quoin farmer, died at their farm home yesterday afternoon.
      The Siefert family is one of the best known families in this community and the sorrow that has come to them will be felt by all who know them.
      The deceased was born January 21, 1857, in Belleville, and departed this life in Old Du Quoin April 10, 1922.
      She was married to Chas. Siefert on February 13, 1878. She had been a resident of the community in which she lived and died for a number of years past and together with her husband had enjoyed a very prosperous farm life.
      In her community she was always regarded as a kind and devoted wife, a loving mother, and one of the best neighbors.
      She leaves to mourn her death, besides her husband, four children, George of Old Du Quoin; Arthur, whereabouts unknown, Miss Florence, at home, and Mrs. Val Pflanz Jr. of Christopher. Besides these leaves three grandsons and one granddaughter and a host of relatives and friends.
      The funeral services will be held tomorrow at the home in Old Du Quoin --- [ rest of obituary is missing ] ---.
