      Enlisted June 11, 1861, at Belleville, St. Clair Co., Ill., in Co. I, 22nd Illinois Inf.
      While with the 3rd Brigade, 3rd Div., 20th Corps, of the 22nd Regt., Ill. Inf.;
           He was wounded at the battle of Chickamauga on September 19th or 20th, 1863
      On July 7, 1864 he was discharged from the service.
Married Catherine Cunningham on November 3, 1874 in Randolph County, Illinois
Died on December 6, 1917 in Coulterville, Randolph County, Illinois
