late of the County of Perry and State of Illinois, is dead, and that he died on or about the

1865
and that his personal property will pro-

left at the time of his decease

of Welcome Butler decd has failed
and neglected to make a final
Settlement of said Estate in
the time required by law.

You are hereby commanded that you cite and give notice to the said
Sarah Butler now admx Sarah Vancil,

as aforesaid, that She be and appear before the County Court of Perry County, at a regular term therof, to be
holden at the Court House, in Pinckneyville, on the 18 day of July A D
1871, then and there to make a final settlement
of said Estate

And further to do and perform what then, by the said Court, be required and adjudged. And hereof make due
service and return as the law directs.

and the Seal thereof, at Pinckneyville, in said Co. this 19 -

      The Undersigned, Sarah Vancil (formerly
of Welcome Butler deceased, would respectfully
submit to the Court the following report of her acts and doings as such Administrutrix
of the Estate of Welcome Butler deceased
from his death to 17th July A. D. 1871; charge
with the following to wit :

        Wednesday, June 21st A.D. 1865
Christopher Harman as his securities Said Bond conditioned and
payable as the law directs and the Clerk of this Court having
deposited John Foust, Wm ?inkle and Robert William's affairs
of said decd personal estate and the said David McClay having
taken the oath as such administrator accordingly to the
Statute in Such cases made and provided and in Court
being now Sufficiently advised concerning said bond and said
security is therefore ordered by the Court that said bond be approved . All the actings
and doings of Said clerk be approved and that they have
the same effects is if done by this Court in open court,
and it is further ordered that the Said David McClay be
Considered administrator of Said dec'd estate from and
after Said letter issued by said clerk and that said bond
with the Letters be recorded and filed.
In the matter of the estate of ))
      Welcome Butler, dec'd,)) ??? of Adms.
            And now on this day come David M. Verge, clerk
of this Court and presents a report of his acting and doings
during vacation and since last court and it appearing
to the court from proof made that Welcome Butler late of
the County of Perry and State of Illinois died intestate on
or about the 13th day of May A.D. 1865 and the clerk of this
court viz having appointed on the 1st day of June A.D. 1865
Sarah Butler administratrix of all and /??/ the
oods chattels rights credits and effect which were of
the said Welcome Butler at the time of his decease and
took from the administratrix so appointed a bond in the
final sum of four hundred dollars conditioned and
payable as the law directs with Chas /??/ /??/ his se=
=curity said bond and the clerk of this Court having appointed
John /??/ James Kincade, Thomas Kincaid appraisers
of said decd personal effects and the said Sarah Butler
made proof of the heirs at Law of said deceased +
taken the oath as such administratix according to
the Statute in Such case made and provided and the
court being now sufficiently advised concerning said
bond and said security it is therefore ordered of the
court that said bond be approved and that all the
actings and doings of said clerk be approved and that
they have the same effect as if done by this court in open
court and that it is further ordered that the said Sarah
Butler be considered administratrix of said decd estate
from and ??? said letter issued of said clerk and that

the 17th day of July A.D. 1871
In the matter of the Estate)
of Welcome Butler - dec'd) Final Settlement.
            Upon this day in answer to a citation
against her issued comes Sarah Vancil formerly
Sarah Butler admx of the Estate of Welcome Butler
dec'd and presents her report charging herself
with the sum of Fifty Dollars and claiming
credit for One hundred and Seventeen dollars
paid out - making a surplus payment of $6700
by said admx. - - Ordered by the court that said
report be approved as a final settlement of said
Estate and that said admx be discharged.

            I do solemnly Swear that I will well and truly
administer all and singular the goods and chattels, rights, credits and effects of Welcome
Butler
deceased, and pay all claims and charges
against said estate, as far as his good, chattels and affects shall ???, and the law charges
me, and I will do and perform all other acts required of me by law,
to the best of My knowledge and abilities.     Sarah her X mark Butler,
            Sworn and subscribed before me this 1st
day of June A.D. 1865

State of Illinois, Perry Cournty...
      The People of the State of Illinois,
            To all to whom these Presents shall come = = = Greeting
      Know Ye, that whereas Welcome Butler
late of the County of Perry and State of Illinois, died intestate
as it is said, on or about the 13th day of May A.D. 1865,
having at the time of his decease personal property in the estate, which may be lost, destroyed
or diminished in value if speedy care be not taken of the same; to the end, and therefore, that said
property may be collected and preserved for those who shall appear to have a legal right or
interest therein, we do hereby appoint Sarah Butler
of the County of Perry and State of Illinois Administratrix
of all and singular the Goods and Chattels, rights and credits which were of the said
Welcome Butler at the time of his decease,
and full power and authority to secure and collect the said property and debts, whenever the
same may be found in this state; and in general to do and perform all other acts which now
or hereafter may be required of me by law.

           and for the County of Perry at his office in Pinckneyville
           this 1st day June, A.D. 1865.
