Looking for information on the children of Warren and Mary C. (Rotan) Miller (married 14 Jul 1824 in Rowan, North Carolina). More specifically the children born prior to 1839 which include Sarah, William, James Harlan, Esculana (sp), Warren Jr. and Alexander. There were 5 more born after 1839. Mary C. divorced Warren in 1850. He then married Sarah (Bell) Lane and she married Abraham Kimmel. Any help would be appreciated. Carole

I am doing some research on my mother's side of the family. My mother was born Lillian Robinson in Chicago on 3.28/1933 to a Lena Ransom (born 1912, DuQuoin, Ill) and James Robinson (born 1901, Montgomery, Ala). Lena's mother's name was Lillie Ransom McDonald (she married Eliza/Elijah McDonald in DuQuion) .
Lena also had a brother Lennamen or Lennaman (born 1914 in DuQuion) who may have served in WW2. Lena died shortly after the birth of my mother as did James. My mother was raised by James's sisters in Montgomery, Alabama.
Could you be related to Lena Ransom or could Lena be related to your family?

Seeking information about the Warners who (according to family history) were traders in Old DuQuoin in the late 1820s. John W. Warner was born in Old DuQuoin ca 1829; when John W. grew to adulthood, he was a riverboatman on the Ohio River. Little is known about his family, but supposedly John W. had at lease one sibling - a sister named "Luella" whose married name was either Flagg or Fagg. Luella and husband were living in Shawneetown in the 1850s.
Any information about this illusive branch would be appreciated.
