      Lola Burk, who went by "Sallie", was the daughter of William Washington Burk, who was active politically in Perry County in the late 1800s/early 1900s.
      He was the Justice of the Peace and actually performed the wedding ceremony for daughter, Lola, who married Andrew J. Denman on April 13, 1899.
      W. W. Burk served as City Clerk, Treasurer, School Director, and Secretary of the Board of Education in Pinckneyville around 1907.
