WILLIAM BRIGHT

Wm. Bright, lumber dealer, Valley City, was born in this county Oct 13, 1847. His father, George W., was a farmer, a native of West Tennessee, and was a soldier in the Mexican war. He was one of the first pioneers of Pike County, and died in 1855. In 1867 William married Hannah Davis, who died in 1869, and Mr. B. again married in 1872, this time Belle Griffin and they has 2 children, William deceased, and Mable L. Mr. B. is proprietor of the sawmill at Griggsville Landing, formerly owned by I. S. Freeman and is doing a good business.
