J. S. Conkright, sec. 26; P. 0., New Salem; was born in this county in 1836; his parents, Isaac and Elizabeth Conkright, were natives of Kentucky. He owns 160 acres of good land. ,ln 1863 he was married to Harriet L. Bean, of this county, who was born in 1847; they have 2 children, John W. and Harris. They are members of the Universalist Church.
