Leslie, a young son of Chas. Rogers and wife of Ventura CA spent last week with his aunts, Mrs. Amanda Iler of New Hartford and Mrs. Minnie Hoskins, of Derry. Young Rogers had been in New York where he was a member of the crew from Stanford Univ., which competed in the boat races on the Hudson and inw hich Cornell students won first place and Stanford second. The young man's mother was formerly Miss Kate Baker, of New Hartford. His parents left this county for CA about 25 years ago and own a fine fruit anch near Ventura.
