The mayor of Milton has offered a reward for the arrest of the party or parties who stole the curfew bell from its place in the band stand in that village. The bell is said to have been found in S. H. Cheatham's well. The curfew ordinance there is making all kinds of trouble, and the council might save further bloodshed by repealing it. Policeman John McCann lost his life there last fall in an attempt to enforce the ordinance, young Conrad plunging a knife into him.
