Monday morning C.M. Bradbury started for Perry in his buggy. The rains had swollen the streams and in crossing the creek at the Jones ford the buggy upset, throwing Mr. Bradbury out in the creek. Fortunately he was thrown out near the bank on the south side and did not get entirely submerged. The team went out on the other side and returned home. The return of the team withou a driver alarmed the fammily. Finally Mr. Bradbury reached home, changed his clothes and again started on his journey. A bridge is badly needed at this ford, which is a dangerous one.

Sunday night about 1 o'clock a violent wind and rain storm raged here. It rained, hailed and the wind blew a young hurrican. No damage is reported.
