George Cadwell to Annie Elizabeth Stead

It was a beautiful wedding which occurred in St. James' church Wednesday morning, April 26th(1911), at half past nine when Miss Annie Elizabeth Stead became the bride of Mr. George A. Cadwell. The church was artistically decorated in smilax, ferns, daffodils and narcissus and presented its best appearance. Miss Alice Parker presided at the organ, Misses Marguerite and Mildred Cadwell and Messrs. Page Hatch and T. M. Yates served as ushers, Miss Mary Hatch, maid of honor, and Attorney J. Walter Stead, groomsman.0 After the ceremony a few of the relatives and near friends gathered at the bride's home and partook of a wedding breakfast. Mr. and Mrs. Cadwell left on the 11:27 train for their wedding journey. Miss Stead has been for about ten years the organist of St. James' church and seldom has she been away from her post. Being an active and energetic Church woman and a leader in all church work, we are truly thankful she will still dwell among us. Mr. and Mrs. Cadwell have the best wishes of the whole parish. Miss Stead's place as organist is now ably filled by her cousin, Miss Alice Parker.
