14 August 1907 - Pike County IL Last evening at 6, the marriage of Miss Alice Perle Watson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Matthews Watson, to Mr. Frank B. Sherman, of Oak Park, took place at the Congregational church. The ceremony was performed by the pastor, Rev. H. H. Appelman, and Dr. Watson gave away the bride. The wedding marches from Wagner and Mendelssohn, and the music before and during the ceremony was played by Mrs. Henry T. Armentrout. Misses Elsie Cree, Mary Ludlow, and Louise Wilson, of Griggsville’ Helena and Elizabeth Terry, of Decatur, and margaret Triplett, of Perry, were bridesmaids and Miss Helena Watson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mr. J. G. Search, of Oak Park, best man. Mrs. Walter D. Humiston, of Minneapolis, and Mrs. A. Zimmerman, of Quincy, poured the chocolate and the coffee at the reception which followed at the Watson home. The bride and groom left for the East. They will spend a few weeks on the Atlantic coast, after which they will make their home in Chicago on the South Side. Mr. Sherman is a native of Connecticut, and for twelve years has lived in Chicago, where he is president of the bond firm of F. B. Sherman & Co., of that city.
