Honored by the Wabash Railroad

On Friday, Dec. 7, 1962 the Decatur division of the Wabash railroad held their third annual Family Night at 7:30 p.m. in the Masonic Temple in Decatur. There were 28 employees eligible for the 50 year diamond pin, 97 for the 40 year pin and 63 for the 25 year pin, which were presented by the president of the Wabash rail road, Herman H. Pevler.

Among those eligible for 50 year pins were I. L. Maxey and M. B. Stead of Griggsville, and C. W. Ross of Hannibal, Mo. For the 25 year pins were J. E. (Pete) Binge of Decatur and Allan Winans of Baylis.

The wife of each of the 50 year recipients received an orchid corsage. (Newspaper Clipping 1962)
