In Chambersburg in town Mark found this old building
Nancy Shaner confirms that this was a Methodist church ..
They stopped services around 1950

This old house was well lived in and I visualize a large happy family.
The old piano must have been just to heavy to take with them
Its a brick house. If you were coming from Griggsville back toward
Mt. Sterling, it would be on your right before getting to the intersection of 104.
Nancy Shaner tells us her father who is now 91, calls it the "Buchanan House".
Mrs. Dorsey’s mother lived there.

The nearly destroyed wooden house is on 104 going towards Barry
shortly after you make the turn from 107 on the right hand side.

Just a little further (from the one above) and on the left sits this white house.
You can see it from the road because it sits up on a hill. It has the widow’s lookout
on top that first caught my attention. Someone farms the place but no one lives in the house.
Nancy Shaner tells us this house belonged to Eldred and Evelyn Whitmore
