James Lytle was the only son who used the spelling of "Lightle". James was married to Mariah Julian 14 Febraury 1828 in Fairfield Co OH. She was the daughter of Stephen & Azenah (Lewis) Julian.

Sarah was married to George Elliott on the 18th of September 1851 in Pike Co IL. George was the son of John & Hester (Baxter) Elliott born 9 March 1829 also in Ross County OH. George died 15 February 1898 and Sarah died a few years later on 18 February 1911. Both are buried at Bethel Cemetery. Children of George & Sarah (Lightle) Elliott are - James F., Eunice J. and Warren L.

and the grandson of James & Jane (Bartlett) Lytle who were immigrants from Ireland who first settled in Ross Co OH - removing to Pike County by 1840.
William Lightle married Ellen Husband on 3 January 1858 in Pike County. Ellen born 9 September 1839, was the daughter of Jonathan & Mary Ann (Wade) Husband who was born 5 April 1813 in England.
William died 19 May 1916 and Ellen preceded him on 14 March 190. Both are buried at Bethel Cemetery in Pike Co Illinois.
They were the parents of 12 children all of whom are pictured above except for Charles William, Mary Jane and George who died in infancy. The descendants
of William and Ellen are still represented in Pike County.
Mr. Wm. Lightle, a retired farmer, and one of our honored citizens, showed his eight children that he was a good fellow one day last week by presenting each of them with $1,000.
The children to share in this liberal gift are Walter, Frank, Horace, Ernest, Miss Rosa, Mrs. Wm. D. Moore (Emily) , Mrs. Sam Dixon (Louella) and Mrs. Louis Hayden (Augusta).
