A family get together of descendants of Frank and Lillian Carter was held Sept. 5, 2009 at Carter's Hunting Lodge in Milton.

Those attending were Richard and Barbara (Carter) Hall, Roger and Tina Hall, Sarah Hall and Chris Seymoure and Carter (two months), Danny and Teresa (Hall) Roberts and Jordan, Randy and Shelley Hall, Cole and Clay, Mary (Carter) Blish, Connie (Blish) Thomas, Allie and Jerry Hendrix, all of Pittsfield; Virgil Carter, Jerry and Beth Carter, Jack, Alexa, Joseph and Isabella of Oak Forest; Dale Carter of Milton; Darren Carter, Leah, David, Tabitha, Hannah and Brian Kirsch of St. Charles, Mo.; Lonnie and Melissa Carter, Cody and Mikayla; Nathan and Tammy Carter, Nate, Taylor and Nick, Lori McDaniels, Amber, Cody Brandy, Brian and Tonsyn and Ethan Sidwell, all of Pearl; Leroy and Doris Bland, Ronnie and Melissa Bland, Brianne, Hunter and Jake, Larry Davis, all of Alton; Sherrie (Blish) Haggard and Terry Stoner of Ashland City, Tenn.; Michelle (Davis) Minor, Mikayla and Logan of Nickolasville, Ky.; Donnie Bland of Piasa; Justin and Billie Jo Roberts and William (three months) of Columbia and Jessica Roberts and John Borrowman of St. Louis, Mo.

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful dinner and a good time. There were four generations. Leroy Bland, age 76 years, was the oldest, Carter Seymoure, age two months, was the youngest and Michelle Minor came the farthest.
