Sunday August 10, 2008, David and Charlotte Hamilton hosted the 71st Annual Smith Family Reunion at their home in rural Pittsfield. There were 41 in attendance. This was a special reunion as Beulah Dunham celebrated her 86th birthday that day. She is the youngest of the four remaining Smith sister. Those attending were Jim and Marjory Wilson, Clark MO; Steve and Shelly Farris; Allison and Jay, Moberly MO. Also attending were Tom and June Brackett Winchester; John Scranton, Arthur and Helen Scranton, Mt. Sterling; Jim Scranton, Meredosia; Jean and Gary Vitale, John and Judie Eggold, Steve and Marjorie Bailstein and Margaret Roberts of Springfield; Kory and Crystal McAllister, Weston and Nate, Pearl; and Cecile Foster, Carolyn Foster, David and Charlotte Hamilton, John, Diane and Natalie Hamilton, Emily Hamilton and Wes Oxley, Denny Moore and Skyler and Vince Moore of Pittsfield.

Margaret Roberts was the oldest family present. Youngest was Nate McAllister and traveling the farthest was Steve and Shelby Farris, Allison and Jay. The four remaining Smith sisters in order from oldest to youngest are Margaret Roberts, 96; Cecile Foster, 94; Helen Scranton 89 and Beulah Dunham 86.
