Crippen-Goins
Betty Jean Goins was born to Fred & Marie Goins on Feb. 24, 1928. Betty attended grade school in Olmsted, high school in Mound City, but graduated from Mounds Township High. George Crippen was the son of William & Agnes Crippen. He also graduated from Mounds Township. After his tour in the U.S. Army, George and Betty were married June 08, 1947. They were the parents of three sons; Steven, William, and Larry. After living in Carbondale for many years, the Crippens retired to Florida.
