Dianna L. Black

Dianna L. Black, 71, of Clearwater, passed away March 20, 2008 at home. 

Dianna was born in Mound City, IL and moved to Clearwater 50 years ago from Geneva, IL. Dianna was a homemaker, mother and helped her dad at Thompson's Coin Laundromat on Drew St. After her dad sold the laundromat, Dianna stayed on to manage it. She was an EKG technician and also worked for Sterile Design, a division of Johnson & Johnson. Dianna was a Girl Scout leader for many years and enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, painting, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. 

Dianna is survived by her husband, Winston, of 44 years; daughters, Terra Moore, Woodstock, GA, Veronica Hall, Bluntville, TN, and Kim Vo, Clearwater; brother, Daniel J. Thompson II, Greenville, SC; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. 

Friends may call from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday at Light of Christ Catholic Church, 2176 Marilyn, Clearwater. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
