William T. Biggerstaff

William T. Biggerstaff, age 63, died Tuesday, August 8, 2000 in Fargo.

Bill, Sr. was born on December 21, 1936 in America, IL. He grew up in Mounds, IL. In 1956 he moved to Peoria, IL. On July 6, 1957 Bill married Dolly Melendrez in Dixon, IL. He worked in a hardware store in Rockford, IL in 1965. Bill and Dolly then moved to Elgin, IL and lived there for 15 years. While in Elgin, Bill worked for McKee Door Company. In 1982 Bill and Dolly moved to Fargo and purchased Overhead Door Company of Fargo a year later. He served as CEO of the company and expanded to Grand Forks in 1986. In December 1998 he semi-retired and the following spring sold the branch office in Grand Forks.

He is survived by his wife, Dolly; four sons, William K. Jr. (Kristine), Gary, Mark (Heidi), all of Fargo and Paul (Lisa), North Borough, MA; his sister, Pat (Bud) Adams, St. James, MO; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Berry.

There will be a private service Friday at Boulger Funeral Home with burial at Riverside Cemetery. There will be no public viewing.
