James "Jim" C. Crow

James "Jim" C. Crow, 76, died at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mr. Crow was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Mounds, the son of the late Leonard James Crow and Erma E. (DANIELS) Crow Guy.

Mr. Crow was an Army veteran of World War II, lifelong resident of Mounds and a retired supervisor with the former Illinois Mineral Plant at Elco.

Mr. Crow was preceded in death by his father in 1956; his step-father, William Earl Guy, in 1971 and his mother on Oct. 4, 2001.

Mr. Crow married Virginia Crow of Mounds; Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lori Crow of Mounds; two grandsons, Tanner and Blaine of Mounds; two brothers, Lonnie Crow of Mounds and Donald Crow of Boise, Idaho; a sister, Wanda Austin of Scott City, MO. and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, in Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. F. Jerry Herring officiating. Interment will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, with full military honors given by members of the Pulaski County VFW Post. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, which is in charge of arrangements.
