Helen Kathryn King Ferguson, 79, of Olive Branch died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.

She was born March 17, 1923, in Heath, Ky., daughter of Frank and Mattie Lee. She married Mose King, who died in 1966.

She was a seamstress and had worked many years at M. Snowner Plant in Cairo. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Steinhouse of Olive Branch; a son, Don King of Tamms, Ill.; a sister, Anna Cavanaugh of Los Angeles; four granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after noon today.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds, Ill.
