Homer A. Ferguson

Homer A. Ferguson, age 77, passed away at the Garden View Care Center of Chesterfield, MO, Saturday, June 7, 2003.

 Homer was born June 17, 1925 in Mound City, IL to Sylvia and Otho Ferguson. 

He married Elaine Hogendobler on Jan. 3, 1946 after serving in the Air Force for 3 years. He went to work for his father-in-law for 9 years and then the family moved to Farmington Hills, MI where he went into the aluminum business with his uncle. He remained there for 20 years and then moved to Chesterfield, MO to be closer to his Aluminum Extrusion Facility in Olmsted, IL. 

Homer was a member of Manchester United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 178 in Villa Ridge, IL and Elks Lodge in Cairo, IL. 

Homer is survived by his wife, Elaine; sons Homer A. Ferguson Jr., M.D. (Marcy), Tim Ferguson (Kathy) and daughter Emily Baker (Jeffrey); ten grandchildren, Michele Gamache, Robert, Kathleen, Sarah Ferguson, Ann Dillon, Homer A. Ferguson III, Johanna and Carlynn Ferguson, Matthew & Eric Baker; two great-grandchildren; Madeline & Allyson Dillon; one sister, Juanita Miller (Clarence); six nephews and two nieces. 

He was the best husband, father, grandfather and uncle to us all.

Funeral service at Manchester United Methodist Church, Tuesday, 10 a.m. Interment Manchester United Methodist Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association. 

Visitation at the Schrader Funeral Home, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Monday, 5-9 p.m.
