Nannie Elizabeth Floyd, 85, of Jonesboro, IL., formerly of Mound City, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, IL.

Born March 8, 1916, in Mound City, she was the daughter of the late Genie and Mattie Oliver Patterson.

She was married to Ernest Floyd Sr., who died in 1979.

Nannie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mound City.

Survivors include a son, Ernest Floyd Jr. of Piedmont, MO.; two sisters, Willa Mae Reed of Granite City, IL., and Mary Alice Gove of Palaquatchie, MS.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City and after 9 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Mound City. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Travis Rose Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
