Sara "Tiny" Goodgion, 87, of Benton, Ky., formerly of Mounds, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at her home.

She was born May 2, 1915, at Mounds, daughter of John and Minnie Bour Struckmeyer. She married William Goodgion, who preceded her in death.

Sara was corporate secretary and administrative assistant to the president of First State Bank of Mounds 52 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mounds, and often played the piano and organ. She was a charter member and the first treasurer of Mounds Business and Professional Women's Club, and was active many years in the Illinois Banking Association.

Survivors include her adopted family, Carolyn and Dave Roberts and Wilma and Donald Thomas, all of Benton.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin, Ill., from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Mound City, Ill.
