Samuel LeRoy Hoffmeier, 76, Kansas City, MO, died December 8, 1996, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, at the Country Club United Methodist Church, 400 W. 47th St., Kansas City, MO, where family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Interment Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, MO. In lieu of flowers, family suggests me morial contributions to Shriners Children's Hospital. Mr. Hoffmeier was born December 2, 1920, in Ullin, IL, and was a lifelong resident of St. Louis and Kansas City. He was a retired Air Force Captain and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Country Club United Methodist Church, National Defense Executive Reserve, appointed to the Republican Senatorial Inner Circle, a 50 year member of the Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge 446, the Kansas City, MO Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Ararat Shrine Temple. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Marguerite S. Hoffmeier, of the home; a son, Samuel J. Hoffmeier II, Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Debra O'Hara, Prairie Village, KS, and Linda Maniscalco, Lee's Summit, MO; a sister, Virginia Brueggemann, Wichita, KS; and six grandchildren.
