Arthur Eugene "Gene" Parker, 59, of Pulaski, formerly of Urbana, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 28, 2004) in Villa Ridge.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Rose Hill Drive, Pulaski. The Rev. John Windings will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Pulaski.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 147, Villa Ridge, is handling arrangements.

Mr. Parker was born June 19, 1945, in Long Beach, Calif., a son of William Joseph and Juanita Curry Parker. He married Susan L., who survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Villa Ridge; two daughters, Amy R. Parker of Raleigh, N.C., and Kimberly R. Westwater of Monticello; three brothers, Bill Parker and Russ Parker, both of Villa Ridge, and Dennis Parker of Eagle Nest, N.M.; a sister, Loleen McClellan of Urbana; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Parker was a resident and retired barber in Urbana before moving to Pulaski two years ago.

He was a member of Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Urbana, and attended Caledonia Community Church, Olmsted.
