Virginia F. Parker
Virginia Frances Parker, 48, of Villa Ridge, died at 4:03p.m. Friday, June 22, 2001, at St. Frances Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born on April 12, 1953, at Paducah, the daughter of Herbert "Red" and Mildred Ellen (HOLDER) Jackson. She was married to George A. Bankson III on April 19, 1970. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1973. She later married Kim Parker on March 14, 1980. She had been a deputy for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department for several years and since April of this year was police office for the village of Pulaski. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ullin. Survivors include her husband, Kim Parker of Villa Ridge; a daughter, Angela Bankson of Evansville, Ind.; three grandsons, Allen Michael Bosecker, Travis Dean Gunterman, and Dillon Ryan Gunterman; a brother, Dewayne Jackson of Metropolis; Dewayne's children Tommy and Tammy; the Parker family, Bill and Betty, Gary Parker family and Sheila Murphy family, all of Villa Ridge; and other relatives. Funeral services for Virginia Frances Parker were at 1p.m. Monday, June 25, at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin with the Rev. Ralph Kaufman and the Rev. Terry Kern officiating. Interment was in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donor's choice. Crain Funeral Home in Ullin was in charge of arrangements.
