Betty Jean Stout

Berry Jean Stout, 73, of Mounds, died at 11:15a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2004, in Southern Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Betty was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Ullin, the daughter of the late Charles M. and Stella (EGNER) Calvin.

Betty was a retired bookkeeper for the Shawnee Development Council and had been a secretary for the Pulaski County Circuit Clerk's office in Mound City.

Betty was preceded in death by three brothers, Bud, Donnie and Jim Calvin, and a granddaughter, Ashley Stout.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Stout of Olive Branch and Jeff Stout of Dongola; four daughters, Judith Ryan of Sacramento, Calif. Jan Stout of Mounds, Jean DuPree of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jheri Roth of Petersburg; one brother Bill Calvin of Mound City; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. F. M. Speakman officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge. Friends may call from noon to 2p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
