From The Cairo Evening Citizen, Monday, Dec. 13, 1954 Mrs. Ida Mae Vines
Mrs. Ida Mae Vines, age 65, of Mound City, died Saturday at 6 p.m. after a long illness. She was born in Martinsville, Ind., but had been a resident of Mound City for the past five years. Mrs. Vines was a member of the Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by one son and one daughter. Survivors include her husband, Jacob of Mound City; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Cruse of Leland, Ill., and Mrs. Norma Jean Dawley of Corpus Christi, Tex; four sons, Lloyd of Mound City, Arthur of Pulaski, Glenn of Waterman, Ill., and Jacob of Sulpher, Okla.; 18 grandchildren two brothers, John Fear of Savanna, Ill., and Otto Fear of Jonesboro, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Cooper of Anna. Friends may call at the Alstat Funeral Home in Mound City until time for service which will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Argyle Wayne Landis of Bell City Ky., officiating. Interment will be made in Thistlewood Cemetery. Alstat Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
