Paulette Vaughn, 52, of Cairo died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at Cairo.

She was born June 2, 1952, at Fort Worth, Texas, daughter of Master Sgt. John and Vernell Waugh Markovich. She and Arland Vaughn were married.

She was a member of the Cairo VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her husband; her mother of Cairo; three daughters, Erica Lane of Knotts Island, N.C., Brittany Vaughn of Cairo, Deana Vaughn of Jonesboro, Ill.; a son, Rico Aranico of Belleville, Ill.; a sister, Pat Brey of Cairo; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral Home at Cairo.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill., with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating.
